Five Magical Evenings This Summer
For a minute there, I thought I was going to be a food blogger.
That dream met a swift and spicy end when I got pregnant and bought an inn in the same year… then had the baby and moved to Vermont to run the inn in the same month. (Madness!)
I kept the blog around, thinking I’d eventually find my way back to it. But then life happened. My son grew some, the business did too, and the blogging world—well, let’s just say it moved on without me.
At the same time as I was inexpertly dipping my toe into the world of food blogging, I was dabbling in the world of underground dining in Miami. My little pop-up, Shelley-Belly’s Underground, was chaotic, magical, and bursting with energy. There was no sign on the door and no phone number to call—just a long waitlist and a seat at the table if you were lucky. I loved every minute of it, and I always thought I’d bring it back one day.
Well… one day has come.
This summer, The Nutmeg will revive Shelley-Belly’s Underground for just five Saturdays, from July 19 to August 15. We’ll be serving a two-course prix-fixe dinner designed to get you on your way in time for the 8pm concerts at the Marlboro Music Festival (only 8 miles down the road). 🎶
Not heading to the concert?
No problem—you’re still invited. Book our second seating at 7:30pm and linger over dinner without the rush.

- Cancellations within 7 days or no-shows will be charged in full
We’re not offering a vegan menu at this time, but we’re happy to accommodate vegetarians with a little notice. If you have allergies or dietary restrictions, please reach out when booking—we’ll do our best!
